The Department of Ecology and Territory of PUJ maintains an active research program in the Magdalena Basin related to short and long‐term flow forecasting for reservoirs and how hydropower reliability is influenced by climatic extremes. Their continued research interests focus on ideal configurations of storage in the basin to meet multiple objectives in water resources management. Their research includes participatory approaches involving dam and reservoir operators. These are likely to be key inputs to the basin‐scale analysis and tool development carried out in S-MultiStor. PUJ will contribute in their capacity to these topics.
